Lee County Farm Bureau
Scholarship Program
This is a group of scholarships open to student who plan to major
in an
agriculture related field and whose parents are members of the Lee
County
Farm Bureau. The amount of the awards ranges from $250 to
$750.
The deadline is 2-1-2012.
AXA Community
Scholarship
This is a $2,000 award
The deadline is 2-1-2012..
Elks Legacy
Award
This is a $4,000 scholarship with eligibility limited to
seniors who are the child or grandchild of an Elks Member.
The deadline is 2-1-2012.
Community
Banking Scholarship
This is a $1,000 scholarship based on an essay on how
community banks can make a difference in a down economy.
The deadline is 2-6-2012.
KFC Scholars
Award
This is a national award with amounts ranging
up to $20,000. You must have a minimum GPA of
2.75 and be able to demonstrate financial need.
The deadline is 2-8-2012.
Hintzche
Agriculture Scholarships
These scholarships are open to seniors planning to major in
an agriculture related field and who have a B average or better
in high school. The amount of the award is $1,000.
The deadline is 2-13-2012.
Cargill
Community Scholarship
This $1,000 award is open to all seniors and you do not
have to be an FFA member in order to be eligible.
The deadline is 2-15-2012.
Best
Buy Corporation Scholarship
This is a $1,000 award and is based on academic
performance and community service or work experience.
The deadline is 2-15-2012.
Illinois
PTA Scholarship
This is a $1,500 award and is open to
students planning to major in education.
The deadline is 2-17-2012.
The Class of "54 Scholarship
This is a local scholarship established by members of the AHS
class of 1954.
This is a brand new scholarship this year and the award is worth
$500.
The deadline is 3-1-2012.
Children
of Veterans Tuition Waiver Scholarship
This is available to students planning to attend the University
of Illinois
whose parent has served in the military during an armed conflict.
It is a full tuition scholarship.
The deadline is 3-1-2012.
Arc of Lee County Scholarship
This is a $1,000 scholarship open to students planning to pursue
a degree
related to individuals with disabilities. This could include special
education
teacher, physical or speech therapist, and human services.
The deadline is 3-1-2012.
Odd
Fellows and Rebekahs Scholarship
This is open to Seniors with a 2.0 GPA or better.
The amount of the award is not stated.
The deadline is 3-1-2012.
Amvets
Scholarship
This $1,000 award that is open to all high school seniors.
Amvets also offer a separate nursing scholarship and a
scholarship
for students planning on attending a trade school.
The deadline is 3-1-2012.
Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home Volunteer Scholarship.
This is a $2,000 award that is only open to students in the Sauk
Vallley Area.
In order to be eligible, you must have performed considerable
community service and you
must be in the top 2/3rd of your class but NOT in the top 15% of your
class.
The deadline is 3-2-2012.
KSB
Science Scholarship
There will be one winner from Amboy High School for the
Science
Scholarship and the eligibility for this award of $1,000 is based on
the
students involvement in Science classes during their high school
years.

Jerry Mitchell Illinois General Assembly Scholarship
This is a full tuition scholarship for students planning to
attend any puplic four year college in the state of Illinois.
The deadline is 3-23-2012.
U.S.
Bank scholarship
This is a $1,000 award and is open to any student planning to
attend
a four year college or university. Winners will be selected at
random.
The deadline is 3-31-2012.
Brannigan Family Scholarship
This is a $2,000 award open to students planning to attend a
public,
two or four year college in the state of Illinois. To be eligible you
must
have a 2.5 GPA or above and be able to demonstrate financial
need.

KSB
Hospital Healthcare or Nursing Scholarships
There are two scholarships available from KSB Hospital for
students planning
to major in healthcare or nursing and both of these are worth
$1,000.
The deadlines are 4-15-2012.
James J. Braida Scholarship
This is a $750 award and is a local scholarship. To be eligible
you must
be planning on majoring in education and pursuing a career as a
teacher.
The deadline is 4-30-2012.
Gary Hart Memorial Scholarship
This is a $500 scholarship open to students planning a career in
either law
enforcement or fire safety. to be eligible you must have at least a
2.0 GPA
and be accepted at the college you are planning to attend.

Dukes Family Scholarship
This is a $1,000 award open to student planning to attend a four
year
university. Preference will be given to students planning to attend
the
University of Illinois, but that is not the only criteria for the
award.

Doug Antoine Memorial Scholarship.
This is a $250 award and two awards are available. In order to be
eligible
you must be planning to major in EMS, Fire Science, or Criminal
Justice.
